Competition Rules

Target Species

The target species will be announced during the Monthly Members meeting. It could range from a random tag draw, the heaviest fish, or the longest fish, depending on the competition specifics.

Photo Submissions

Participants are required to submit clear photos that showcase the fish and, if necessary, its weight or length. Each photo must also include the identifying number for the competition month. You can send your entries to the club’s Secretary or post them on our exclusive Facebook Member’s page.

Eligibility and Competition Period

  • The competition period is from the announcement to the beginning of the Monthly Members’ meeting two months later.
  • Local offshore waters only.
  • Must be a current financial member of GCGFC Inc.
  • To claim the Senior Angler Prize, seniors must be present at the monthly members’ meeting.
  • Juniors do not need to be present at the monthly meeting to claim their prize.

Senior Angler Prize

 

If no winner emerges, the senior prize jackpots to the next competition.

Junior Angler Prize

 

The junior prize is open to any junior who posts a photo of any species of fish (game fish or non-game fish) caught that month. The committee will decide on the winning entry. If there is no Junior winner, it will jackpot to the next bi-month.
